AutoPromix ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our Android application collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our auto-reply SMS and WhatsApp messaging service.
Information We Collect
To provide auto-reply functionality, AutoPromix requires access to the following device data:

Phone State & Call Logs
Used to detect incoming, missed, and outgoing calls and retrieve the caller's phone number to send the auto-reply.

Used to send pre-configured SMS auto-reply messages to callers via your device's SIM card.

Accessibility Service (WhatsApp)
Used to automate WhatsApp message sending. The service detects when WhatsApp is open and sends your pre-set reply. AutoPromix does NOT read any existing WhatsApp messages.

Contacts (Optional)
Used to let you exclude specific contacts from receiving auto-replies.

Notifications
Used to show a persistent notification while the auto-reply service is running (required on Android 13+).

Internet Access
Used to sync your account settings, templates, and logs with the AutoPromix backend server.
Account Data: When you log in, we store your username, authentication token, and organization details on our server to maintain your session and configuration.
How We Use Your Information
- Call Detection: Phone state and call logs are used solely to trigger auto-replies when calls are received or missed.
- Auto-Reply Delivery: Caller phone numbers are used only to send your configured SMS/WhatsApp reply immediately after call events.
- Log Reporting: Call events and reply delivery status are logged and sent to our server for you to view in your dashboard.
- Service Configuration: Settings, reply templates, and blacklist data are synced from the server to your device.
- Service Reliability: The service uses boot receiver and battery exemption to ensure auto-reply works even after device restarts.
Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Your data is shared only in the following limited cases:
- Your Organization Admin: If you use AutoPromix under an organization account, your usage statistics and call/SMS logs may be visible to your organization administrator through the web dashboard.
- Backend Server: Call log summaries and reply records are transmitted to our secure server (hosted by your organization or AutoPromix) over HTTPS.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or legal process, we may disclose information to the appropriate authorities.
Accessibility Service Usage
⚠️ Important: AutoPromix uses the Android Accessibility Service exclusively to automate WhatsApp message sending. This service is used ONLY to locate the WhatsApp text input field, enter your pre-configured auto-reply message, and tap the Send button.
AutoPromix's Accessibility Service does NOT:
- Read your existing WhatsApp conversations or messages
- Access any other apps or screen content
- Record screen content or take screenshots
- Transmit WhatsApp message content to any server
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in two places:
- On-Device: Configuration, templates, and blacklist data are stored locally in an encrypted database on your phone using Android's Room database.
- Server: Call event summaries and delivery logs are stored on the AutoPromix backend server. All communication between the app and server uses HTTPS encryption.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission, secure authentication tokens, and regular security reviews.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by:
- Contacting your organization administrator
- Emailing us at privacy@autopromix.app
- Using the "Delete Account" option in the app's Settings screen
Upon account deletion, all personal data including call logs, SMS logs, and configuration will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
Children's Privacy
AutoPromix is designed for business and professional use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Withdraw permissions at any time through Android device settings
- Export your call and message logs from the dashboard
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
